Founded in 1998 by MetLife and AXA, MAXIS Global Benefits Network is a cluster of nearly 140 insurance companies in 110 markets that combines local expertise with global insight. MAXIS GBN offers global employee benefits solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of large corporate clients around the world, with a deep understanding of local market and regulatory trends. The MAXIS-GBN network offers pooled, captive and local arrangements, and delivers on global and local health and wellness programs, world-class service capabilities and strong data analytics. It is trusted by over 750 multinational employers and, through its local member insurers, covers 1.5 million employees across 110 countries and territories.
With offices in New York, Paris and London, Maxis GBN is a truly global organisation. The company required a new, fresh and customer-centric corporate web platform to meet its promotional and marketing needs globally and to support the network’s sales team. It also needed a highly-secure corporate intranet and extranet that fully integrated with its customer-facing web platform. It was also crucial that the chosen platform supported integration with third-party insurance risk platforms. After meeting with a range of potential CMS/CXM technology vendors, Maxis-GBN decided that an all-in-one platform would best deliver its present and future requirements. They embarked on an interview process of the top UK Digital agencies and shortlisted three agencies (including i3 Digital) to present their capabilities and strategic approach. Just days after our presentation, we were notified that we were MAXIS GBN’s chosen digital agency! This was a textbook project for i3 Digital. Part of the client brief was to focus entirely on what the organisation might look like in the future, rather than sticking to its traditional past. The team at i3 Digital were challenged by an extremely tight deadline, as Maxis-GBN desperately wanted to showcase its new website at the launch of its new London office in February 2017.
What we Delivered
To fast-track the process, we delivered an intensive 3-day on-site stakeholder workshop in Maxis GBN’s London offices. Topics covered included the website’s IA, content prioritisation, detailed customer definition, key customer journey planning, client engagement, and key conversion points.
Much kudos has to be given to the Maxis-GBN team, who allowed i3 Digital to take a “green field” approach to the project. They entered into the project with no pre-conceived perceptions and were open to ideas, which made the process hugely enjoyable and inspirational. We also carried out an analysis of their competitors and reviewed a range of industry-specific exemplar websites.
This project showcased our range of capabilities and our unique ability to meet extremely tight deadlines. Within these extremely tight deadlines, i3 Digital provided a range of services, including facilitation of all key stakeholder workshops along with a full review and deconstruction of competitors and industry-specific websites. The team also researched and mapped-out Maxis GBN’s key user/customer journeys, and then created wireframes and prototypes for testing and iterative feedback.
Our creative design team produced high-fidelity prototypes for all key interfaces and templates, and of course, created a fully responsive front-end. i3 Digital deployed and integrated an EMS platform to deliver a full-circle marketing solution, and migrated specific content from Maxis GBN’s legacy CMS platform. We also set up a Hosting Environment and provided our new client with an SLA to ensure total peace of mind going forward.
