American Psychiatric Association (APA) is the largest leading psychiatric organization in the world, with more than 38,000 members practising in more than 100 countries.
The overall project scope included the redesign and development of a modern, streamlined, and fully ADA accessibility complaint corporate website.
The APA required a new accessibility-compliant platform for their main corporate website (www.psychiatry.org) to be an informational hub for their global members and the central point for their marketing activities. Therefore, it needed to provide an enhanced user experience and responsive design.
The new website needed to have all new templates and interfaces designed and built to fully comply with and meet WCAG 2.1 and ADA accessibility guidelines. The platform also needed to meet current organizational demands and objectives with the capacity to grow and evolve seamlessly in the future.
What we Delivered
The project requirements included several complex challenges, which made Kentico Xperience 13 the right CMS solution for the project, as it provides the functionality and overarching framework to assist the APA in achieving the launch of a new easy-to-use, highly flexible, future-proofed website with integration capabilities. Allowing the APA team to easily create and manage information that is relevant to specific groups, demographics, and interest levels such as Psychiatrists, Residents, Medical Students, Patients, and Families.
Utilizing our vast experience with Kentico, i3 Digital's team designed and built a modern, responsive, attractive, user-centric website, delivered on a tightly integrated and highly secure platform. Customized widgets also provided the flexibility to create a site that could easily use the features of Kentico's inbuilt marketing suite (EMS). Marketing Automation was a key function required by the APA with the EMS in order to provide the ability to track user activity and personalize content.
A new customized faceted predictive search function was deployed by our team who added advanced search filters and functionality which allows users to refine their search by category and relevance. The search filters have been integrated into all pages and can be managed by the site administrator.
The new website needed to integrate with their SalesForce CRM. We were able to use the existing Kentico Authentication to build an integration with Salesforce whilst still retaining all the Kentico functionality and Kentico’s Online-Marketing capabilities.
The new site has a modern, fresh design and provides a streamlined user experience which helps the APA’s global membership access relevant information. The APA’s team now have an intuitive, easy-to-use, highly secure digital platform that now facilitates real-time personalized engagement with their global membership.
