Our approach to matters of the heart is always a team one. Where support is needed most, we reach out to help.
Since 2000, we’ve raised thousands of pounds to help support charities, especially those close to the hearts of the i3 Digital team. Every year, throughout the year, we fundraise for three designated charities; Action Cancer, Save The Children and MacMillan Cancer.
When we fundraise, we make it fun & engaging through bake-offs, coffee mornings, pool and air hockey competitions to fun themed-dress days.
At i3 Digital, we go that extra mile with everything we do. This ethos emanates throughout the team on a personal level too. Each month, our team donates a discretionary amount from their salary, which gets allocated to their chosen charity through the Payroll Giving in Action Scheme.
The Payroll Giving in Action charity works to support over 190,000 charities throughout the whole of the UK. Donations are deducted before tax with every £1.00 donated, it only costs you 80p, and if a higher rate taxpayer, it will only cost you 60p.
Action Cancer is the leading local cancer charity within Northern Ireland. From their main location in Belfast and with the access of their onboard mobile unit, they provide awareness, prevention, detection, and support services across 225 locations within the province.
Cancer rates are continually on the increase. Every hour of every day, someone within Northern Ireland receives a cancer diagnosis, whilst one out of two people will receive a diagnosis in a lifetime.
Action Cancer is the only charity within the UK & Ireland that provide Breast Screening for 40-49 year-olds, who sit outside the NHS bracket of 50-70 years.
By fundraising for Action Cancer, it helps them deliver services for early detection and improved treatments, assisting with overall survival rates.
Save the Children
Save the Children a UK charity who support children with the UK and globally have been working in Northern Ireland for over 60 years. Presently, 118,000 children are living in poverty within Northern Ireland. This is 27% of all children within the province.
It’s widely known that poverty is one of the key components affecting early learning and development. Children in Northern Ireland gain direct help from Save the Children through programs delivered to support them getting a better start in life.
We firmly believe that every child deserves the same opportunities to thrive in life. By fundraising for Save the Children, not only does it help the children of Northern Ireland develop and learn in the early years, it upholds them in later years.
MacMillan Cancer Support
MacMillan Cancer Support is a UK nation-wide charity who help and support those that have been diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or have been affected by cancer in some way.
An estimated 2.5 million people are living with cancer in the UK in 2015, rising to 4 million by 2030. It's estimated that in 2010 within Northern Ireland alone, around 53,000 people were living with cancer, by 2030 this is predicted to be around 100,000 people.
Not only does fundraising contribute towards extensive medical research, but we understand it also allows for those living with cancer to access the exceptional network of teams who provide physical, mental, emotional care & financial support across the community.
